Welding Certificate - Advanced

Students taking the Advanced Welding Certificate in addition to completing the General Certificate will also perform bend tests to API 1104 and ASME b31 Codes in the 1Gr, 2G, 5G and 6G positions and will master the principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the field of welding. Students will also perform live work in the shop using blueprints and advanced metal fabrication techniques.
Note: All students must follow WELD course number sequence and all students must pass each class with a grade of ‘C’ or higher to move to the next sequence of courses.
- Students may take WELD 128 or take all four courses: WELD 129, WELD 130, WELD 131, and WELD 132 together.

SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 3 Credits
Program Core Requirements: 54 Credits
TOTAL CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS: 54-57 credits
