The Associate of Science degree in Chemical Engineering will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the fields requiring chemical engineering. Students will take courses that will provide an introduction to the many specialties within the field of chemical engineering. The Associate of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is intended to prepare students for transfer to the Bachelor of Science Chemical Engineering at New Mexico State University (NMSU). The program was developed in collaboration with NMSU’s Engineering School to provide all of the courses in the first two years of their four year program. Several of the courses in this program will be taught through synchronous distance education by the NMSU faculty.
