The Foundations of Energy Production Certificate consists of 16 general education academic requirements, First Year Experience and 15 credits of Energy core curriculum. This certificate is designed to provide specialized knowledge both for technically oriented students seeking entry level positions in the energy industry as well as support personnel currently working in or desiring a career in supportive roles within the energy industry. The general education requirements and Energy Pathways curriculum meets the academic requirements for the first academic year of the following degree programs: Advanced Petroleum Production Operations Program, Natural Gas Compression Technology Program, Instrumentation Controls and Electrical Technology Program, Industrial Process Operator Program, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program, Occupational Safety Program and Commercial Construction Safety Program.

SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 0 - 3 Credits
General Education Requirements: 16 Credits
Social/Behavioral Science OR Humanities:
Program Core Requirements: 15 Credits Students Select five (5) classes
TOTAL CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS: 31 - 34 Credits
