The Associate of Science degree in Biology will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the fields requiring biology. Students will take courses that will provide an introduction to the many specialties within the field of biology. Students wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and pursue a degree in Biology are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their course work at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution.
Note: Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain the Associate of Science degree in Biology.

Mathematics:

Laboratory Science:
Completion meets both General Education and Program requirements.
Social/Behavioral Science:
Program Core Requirements & Laboratory Science Electives: 28 Credits

TOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 61-64 Credits
