The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Technical Theatre will teach students backstage skills and expose them to the multi-faceted world of technical theatre. Students will learn the basic principles and methodologies of technical theatre implementation and design and will have opportunities to apply this knowledge by collaborating on theatrical productions and events in a professional setting. This immersion in hands-on instruction and practical application will provide students the skills to enter a 4-year college or pursue a career in technical theatre. Instruction in this program is enhanced by SJC’s facilities: the impressive 800-seat Henderson Performance Hall, the intimate 300-seat Little Theatre, and the versatile and experimental Black Box Theatre.

General Education Requirements: 16-17 Credits
Program Core Requirements: 44-45 Credits
TOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 60-65 Credits
