This program is designed to prepare students for a career in Instrumentation and Controls Technology. The program is comprised of three parts: Basic Electronics, Industrial Electrical, and Instrumentation. The companies that hire graduates are Electric Utility, Oil & Gas industry, Mining, Refining, and Manufacturing. Students who have completed this degree are in demand to fill career positions such as Automation Technician, Controls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, and Electrician. Students enrolled in the program may be selected for local apprenticeships or internships.
Note: A student must earn a grade of C or higher in all courses required for the program in order to receive a degree.
