Framing Certificate

Students who wish to take courses over a one year period in a specific area of building trades can choose from three certificate options. The Framing Certificate includes the construction of a home beginning with design and site layout through the foundation, floor, wall and roof framing up to the “dry-in” of the structure. All three certificate options include coursework in building codes, cost estimating, and alternative building methods.

Note: This program requires that the student purchase his/her own tools. To obtain a list of required tools, contact the program instructor.

Note: A student must earn a grade of C or higher in all courses required for the program in order to receive a degree or certificate.
