EDUC-264 Elementary Reading& Language Development

Required for Elementary/option for Special Education. Examines processes of emergent literacy, phonemic awareness, phonics instruction, vocabulary development, fluency, and comprehension for grades K-8. Special attention is given to effective instructional practices and to adapting instruction for culturally and linguistically diverse students.
Prerequisites: EDUC 240, EDUC 250
