EDUC-242 Foundations of Education 2 cr. Required for Elementary and Secondary. Introduces students to major educational, social and political influences that shape today’s school environment, including legislation for special education. Topics include learning theories, critical thinking, multiple intelligences and various learning styles. Also covers research methods, research as a basis of practice, and teacher inquiry to support instructional design and practitioner reflection.
