This course discusses the evolution of Cosmetology and the origin of the word: Cosmetologist. Describes the benefits of personal appearance and personal grooming. Involves hairstyling trends, skin care, and nail care practices. Identifies the organizations responsible for advancing the cosmetology profession and the function of the New Mexico State Board. Defines ethics and lists good qualities in the cosmetology industry.
