Part one of the general study of chemistry, including scientific and dimensional analysis, metathesis and redox reactions, thermochemistry, atomic structure, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, gases, liquids, and solids. For engineering and preprofessional majors. Course includes 1 credit hour lab component. Prerequisites: MATH-115 or appropriate Accuplacer Math Score.
