Chemistry has a variety of specializations and career paths, therefore students should consult with a Chemistry Department Advisor before their second semester in order to better tailor their program of study to their needs.

 

A student must earn a grade of C or higher in all courses to count toward the degree.

Program Proficiencies and/or Prerequisites


Students must have completed CHEM-110 with a C or better or completed high school chemistry with a grade of B or better within the last 4 years as a pre-requisite to CHEM-111.

General Education Requirements: 34 credits


Gen Ed - Communications


Gen Ed - Social/Behavioral Science, Humanities, Fine Arts


Gen Ed - Mathematics


Gen Ed - Laboratory Science


Core Electives


  • Any combination of courses numbered 110 or higher - 5 cr.

The Chemistry Research Topics course is recommended.

Total Credits: 60
