The Associate of Arts degree is intended for transfer to a four-year baccalaureate-granting institution. Those wishing to transfer and pursue a degree program in psychology are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and carefully coordinate their coursework at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution. In general, however, it is suggested that students complete the New Mexico Transfer Module as outlined below.
Note: A grade of C or better is required in all courses.

General Education Requirements: 31 credits
Gen Ed - Mathematics, Humanities, Fine Arts, Elective
Gen Ed - Social/Behavioral Science
Core Program Requirements: 29 credits
Psychology Course Requirements: 16 credits
Approved Psychology Electives: 6 credits
Choose six credits from the following courses:
Must be different from Core Course Selections.
Additional Science: 3-4 credits
Choose one additional science from the following:
Other Electives: 3-4 credits
- Any course numbered 110 or higher 3-4 cr.
