The Associate of Arts degree is intended for transfer to a four-year baccalaureate granting institution. Those wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution to pursue a degree in Native Studies or other fields are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their coursework at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution.
Note: A grade of C or better is required in all courses.

General Education Requirements: 31 credits
Gen Ed - Mathematics, Lab Science, Fine Arts
Gen Ed - Social/Behavioral Science
Required Program Courses: 15 credits
Program Electives: 9-10 credits
Choose one course (3 credits) from each of the following categories for a total of 9 credits. Literature and Art: 3 credits
Culture and Language: 3-4 credits
History, Politics, and Policy: 3 credits
Additional Elective: 4-5 credits
- Any course numbered 110 or higher - 4-5 cr.
