Occupational Safety Certificate

The completion of this certificate provides basic safety knowledge and prepares students to become competent safety professionals. This certificate can be completed online. After completion of the 32 credit hours, students may apply for the Certificate in Occupational Safety.
NOTE: Students must earn a C or better in each course to earn the certificate.

SAFE Core (Career Field) Requirements: 32 credits
BIOL 110 and BIOL 121 have English and reading level prerequisites. Students who do not have college level English credit, will be required to take the Accuplacer test for placement in the appropriate prerequisite courses. In addition to the English and reading level prerequisites, CHEM 110 has a math level prerequisite. Students who do not have college level math credit, will be required to take the Accuplacer test for placement into the appropriate prerequisite course. CHEM 111 has math and chemistry prerequisites.
TOTAL CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS: 32 credits
