The Nursing Assistant Health Care Certificate builds upon the fundamental Skills of Health Care Certificate and prepares the student to function in multiple roles in the clinical environment. This certificate includes basic workplace competencies, skills, values, inter-professional communication and cooperation necessary to perform effectively in an entry level position in the health care workplace. The additional course prepares the student to sit for the written and practical examinations to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
