Energy Production - Foundations Certificate

The Foundations of Energy Production certificate consists of 15-16 general education academic requirements and 15 credits of Energy core curriculum.  This certificate is designed to provide technically oriented entry level employees and students with the basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry and an introduction in the production and processes of the energy industry.  The general education and Energy core curriculum (30-31 credit hours) meets the academic requirements and Energy core curriculum for the first academic year of the following programs;  Production Operations, Natural Gas Compression Technology, Industrial Process Operator Program and the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program.  The Energy core curriculum is also 15 of the 18 required electives for Occupational Safety.
