The Pre-Health Sciences Associates of Science (A.S.) degree is most useful for students who are preparing to enter an allied health program at another college. In many cases, the Pre-Health Sciences A.S. maximizes credit transfer while preparing students to enter most allied health fields, including nursing, technical and aide positions, and a wide variety of other health care fields. This degree meets most of the prerequisites for many allied health programs, although it may not contain all prerequisites. Students are advised to refer to the prerequisite list for their intended program and speak to their advisor before their second semester. Students interested in medical, dental, or pharmacy school should major in Pre-Medical Sciences.
