The Associate of Arts degree is intended for transfer to a four-year baccalaureate-granting institution. Those wishing to transfer and pursue a degree program in psychology are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and carefully coordinate their coursework at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution. In general, however, it is suggested that students complete the New Mexico Transfer Module as outlined below.
A grade of C or better is required in all courses.

General Education Courses: 35 credits
Communications: 9 credits
Laboratory Science: 8 credits
Choose two of the following: Social/Behavioral Science: 3 credits
Choose one of the following: Humanities/Fine Arts: 6 credits
Choose two of the following: Applied Fine Arts: 3 credits
- Select 1 three-credit applied course from the following: Art, Theatre, Creative Writing, and Photography OR
- Select 3 one-credit Applied Music courses.
Additional Science: 3 credits
One additional science from the following: Core Program Requirements: 19 credits
Approved Psychology Electives: 6 credits
TOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 60 credits
