The Associate of Arts degree is intended for transfer to a four-year baccalaureate granting institution. Those wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution to pursue a degree in Native Studies or other fields are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their coursework at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution. A grade of C or better is required in all courses.

Choose one course (3 credits) from each of the following categories for a total of 9 credits.
Literature and Art: 3 credits
Culture and Language: 3 credits
History, Politics, and Policy: 3 credits
Additional Elective: 1 or more credits
Take one credit (or more) from any subject numbered 110 or higher
TOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 60 credits
