Petroleum Production Operations, A.A.S. - Advanced

The Advanced Petroleum Production Operations Associate of Applied Science degree is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of those currently employed in the oil and gas industry.

Completion of the degree requires a total of 60-61 credit hours. Students must complete all General Education, Energy  Core curriculum (ENGY courses) and Technical  requirements.  In addition the student may select  9 credit hours from three options provided.  

A student must earn a grade of C or higher in all courses to obtain the degree.

Total Core Requirements: 30


Option 2


Select 9 credits from any of the following School of Energy programs:  Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Process Operator, Natural Gas Compression or Occupational Safety (SAFE) 250-261 courses.

Option 3


Select 9 credits from the following:  MUSI 110 , THEA 110 , PHIL 110 , HIST 131 , HIST 132 , ECON 251 , BIOL 110 , BIOL 122 , CHEM 110 , CHEM 111 , CHEM 112 ,  (or PHYS 121  & PHYS 121L )

Total Degree Credits: 60-61
