The Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Special Education will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the field of education. Students wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and pursue a degree in Elementary/Special Education are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their course work at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution. Your four-year degree program may require additional pre-approved credit hours within your chosen teaching field.
Note: Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain an Elementary Education A.A. degree.
