The Associate of Science degree in General Science will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the fields requiring science. Students wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and pursue a degree in General Scienceare strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their course work at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution.
The Associate of Science degree in General Science is intended for students who know they want to study science, but have not yet selected a field of study. Students will take courses that will introduce the fields of biology, chemistry, geology, and physics.
Note: Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain a General Science A.S. degree.
