				The Associate of Arts degree in Native Studies will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the fields requiring native studies.  Students wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and pursue a degree in Native Studies are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their course work at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution.   Note:  Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain a Native Studies A.A. degree. |  
													| SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 3 Credits
General Education Requirements: 31 Credits
 
Social/Behavioral Science:
Program Core Requirements: 12 Credits
Program Core Electives: 9-10 Credits
 Choose one course (3 credits) from each of the following categories for a total of 9 credits:History, Politics, and Policy
Additional Elective: 4-5 Credits
  Any course numbered 1110 or higher - 4-5 CreditsTOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 60-63 Credits
