Students will obtain basic and advanced principles and skills of firefighting to develop a student with little or no knowledge of firefighting. This course covers the science of fire and its behavior, exposes the student to the basic and advanced principles and skills of firefighting as well as strategies and tactics employed to extinguish fires and rescue trapped people. This course is taught according to NFPA standard 1001. This course is for entry-level fire fighter. Also listed as FIRE 111 and FIRE 121
