ENER-130 Introduction to Oil and Gas

This course introduces students, who have little or no knowledge of oil and gas discovery and production, to the basics of the oil and gas industry, focusing on what it takes to get oil and gas from the underground source to the surface. Students will be introduced to basic oil and gas field concepts; the unique language of the oil industry; and the process whereby oil and gas are extracted from thousands of feet underground, and delivered through surface equipment for transfer to wholesaler.
