EDUC-281 Introduction to Gifted Education 3 cr. Explores issues encountered in developing the abilities of gifted and talented students. Topics include the nature of exceptional abilities, student characteristics, the history of special provisions in gifted and talented education; strategies for curriculum compacting; study guide development; the use of cooperative learning groups, and lesson plan development.
