EDUC-131 Introduction to Special Education

Overview of Special Education at the introductory level. Topics include but not limited to inclusionary practices, programming for children with developmental challenges, and appropriate instructional methods. State and Federal special education laws, IEPs, family and community support systems. Field observations may be included in this class.
Prerequisites: RDNG 096, ENGL 095, or appropriate English and Reading Accuplacer scores
