ENGL-223 Creative Writing: Creative Nonfiction

3 cr.

Explores the elements, genres, and styles of creative nonfiction and the requisite attributes of creative nonfiction writers–literary voice, personal interaction with subject, openness to experience, among others. Students experiment with forms such as memoir, travel, nature, personal essay, social commentary, and more. Prerequisites: ENGL-111 or obtain permission of instructor.
