The Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration is intended for transfer to a four-year baccalaureate granting institution. Students intending to transfer or pursue a particular course of study are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and carefully coordinate their coursework at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution. In general, however, it is suggested that students complete the New Mexico Transfer Module as outlined below.
Note: A grade of C or better is required of all courses in this program of study.

Program Proficiencies and/or Prerequisites
General Education Requirements: 31 credits
Gen Ed - Lab Science, Humanities, Fine Arts
No more than 3 courses may be counted for Communication, no more than 2 courses may be counted in the other areas.
Gen Ed - Social/Behavioral Science
Business Electives
Choose 9 credits from the following courses:
Electives: 2 credits
- Any course numbered 110 or higher - 2 cr.
Note(s):
The University of New Mexico typically does not accept more than 3 credits in accounting courses from any other institution. Some baccalaureate institutions also require that Business Statistics be taken as a prerequisite to the Principles of Marketing course.
