Natural Gas Compression Technology, A.A.S.

This program is being phased out.  No new applicants are being accepted.

The Natural Gas Compression Associate of Applied Science Degree Program is designed to provide technically oriented entry-level employees with the basic knowledge and skills of gas compression equipment and maintenance required to efficiently and safely maintain, trouble shoot, and operate compression packages in their area of responsibility.  They are responsible for the safety, efficiency, and reliability of their assigned compressor production levels and profits.  The first year of this program (General Education and Energy Core Curriculum) is entirely online.

Attention: Students who wish to be employed in the Energy field must have a clean driving record and may be required to take a drug test or submit to a background check.

A student must earn a grade of C or higher in all courses to obtain a certificate or AAS degree.

*Only MATH 115  satifies the pre-requisite for MATH 160  . MATH 160  is required for students continuing their education in the Bachelor of Business Administration/Oil and Gas Production program through New Mexico Highlands University or the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences through Texas A&M Commerce.
