The Basic Firefighting Certificate will be issued to those students successfully completing the 100 level courses outlined below. This certificate represents 32 credit hours for the most basic level of certification offered in this program.

FIRE-111 Firefighter I 4 cr. AND
FIRE-121 Firefighter II 5 cr.
OR
FIRE-112 Fighter 1 & 2 Combination 9 cr.
FIRE-113 EMS for the Firefighter 1 cr.
FIRE-114 Physical Fitness for Firefighters 3 cr.
FIRE-115 Emergency Vehicle Operation 1 cr.
FIRE-130 Technical Rescue for the Firefighter 1 cr.
FIRE-131 Rope Rescue Technician 2 cr.
FIRE-133 Basic Vehicle Extrication 2 cr.
FIRE-141 Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations 2 cr.
FIRE-145 Firefighter Safety and Survival 2 cr.
FIRE-151 Intermediate Fire Lab 2 cr.
FIRE-152 Advanced Fire Lab 5 cr.
