Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Apply safety, health, and environmental practices in maintenance operations.
- Perform installation, alignment, and maintenance of mechanical drive systems.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pumps and piping systems.
- Apply safe and effective rigging practices.
- Apply hydraulic principles to industrial maintenance.
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic certificate prepares students for entry-level positions for a variety of processes including power generation, mining, natural gas, oil and gas refining, water treatment, semiconductor, food and beverage, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical. Students receive hands on training in a state-of-the-art facility with equipment models and professional industry experts.

SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 3 Credits
Program Core Requirements: 34 Credits
Students will take all technical requirements to receive an academic certificate in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. TOTAL CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS: 34-37 Credits
