Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of safety processes.
2. Explain selected, general legal aspects of construction.
3. Explain and demonstrate, using a Power Point presentation, the safety aspects of construction equipment use.
4. Explain the business of construction and safety culture texts of construction

The Construction Safety Certificate program provides a comprehensive education in the field of construction safety for both entry-level, and seasoned construction safety professionals.  The construction safety courses describe how owners, designers, contractors, construction safety professionals, and other stakeholders can successfully execute in an increasingly challenging, fast-paced, and revolutionary construction safety environment.  Students are provided an integrated approach to research, best practices, regulations, and practical solutions in construction safety.

Note:  Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain a certificate or A.A.S. degree.
