Occupational Safety Certificate

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Recognize, assess and manage potential risks and hazardous situations.
  2. Identify and apply scenario based federal regulations.
  3. Communicate safety issues.
  4. Develop safety trainings.
  5. Develop budgets and perform cost analysis.

The completion of this certificate provides basic safety knowledge and prepares students to become competent safety professionals.  This certificate can be completed online.  After completion of the 30 credit hours, students may apply for the Certificate in Occupational Safety. 

Note:  Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in each course to earn the Occupational Safety Certificate.

TOTAL CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS: 30 Credits
