Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend, apply, analyze, and evaluate information relevant to their role as an entry-level Paramedic (Cognitive).
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in all skills necessary to fulfill the role as an entry-level Paramedic (Psychomotor).
- Demonstrate personal behaviors consistent with professional and employer expectations for an entry-level Paramedic (Affective).
Paramedics provide the highest level of care in the pre-hospital setting and are currently in high demand. Students interested in pursuing training at the paramedic level have the option of both a certificate program and an Associate of Applied Science. The Paramedic Certificate Program provides students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to practice as an entry-level paramedic, in the Emergency Medical Services realm.
The admission process for the Paramedic Certificate Program is the same as that for the Paramedic Associate of Applied Science degree .
Notes:
- Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in each course in the curriculum to obtain a Paramedic Certificate.
- Due to changes in accreditation and industry standards, any student that does not complete this Paramedic Program in its entirety within 24 months must repeat the entire program.
