Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Dressing appropriate for the job.
- Wear PPE.
- Arrive at work on time.
- Perform quality work safely and efficiently
- Cooperate with coworkers.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Complete jobs using published procedures which may include torque settings and tolerances.
- Test the completed work for proper operation and safety.
- Fill out work orders including writing a story of repairs performed using the three C’s.
The Automotive Technology Program provides the student with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the field of automotive service and repair. The program is flexible to allow students to enter at the beginning of any semester and plan a schedule around his/her needs. Students receive satisfactory achievement ratings by successfully performing actual on-the-job tasks.
Notes:
- This program requires that the student purchase his/her own tools. To obtain a list of the required tools, contact the program instructor.
- Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses required for the program in order to receive a degree or certificate.
