Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Dressing appropriate for the job.
  • Wear PPE.
  • Arrive at work on time.
  • Perform quality work safely and efficiently
  • Cooperate with coworkers.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Complete jobs using published procedures which may include torque settings and tolerances.
  • Test the completed work for proper operation and safety.
  • Fill out work orders including writing a story of repairs performed using the three C’s.

The Auto Body program provides the theory, practical knowledge, and skill development necessary for employment in the auto body field.  For those already employed, the program provides courses and/or programs to upgrade or allow occupational advancement.

Notes:

  • This program requires students to purchase their own tools. To obtain a list of the required tools, contact the program instructor.
  • Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses required for the program in order to receive a degree or certificate.

SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 3 Credits


General Education Requirements: 16-17 Credits


TOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 64-68 Credits


Note(s):


1MATH-1170  was previously a 3-credit course. A student who previously completed the 3-credit MATH-1170 successfully has satisfied the MATH requirement.
