The online Occupational Safety degree provides students technical safety education in the growing field of safety and prepares them for entry level safety positions in a variety of industries. Graduates, with appropriate experience, are eligible to sit for the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) exam offered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Degree seeking students in Occupational Safety must complete 61-65 credit hours to earn the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.). The required courses are all online. General Education courses are available through conventional, face-to-face classes, or online. Please refer to the current semester’s course schedule as not all courses are offered online in all semesters.
Upon completion of the 24 credit hours of SAFE and 6 credit hours of the Energy core curriculum, students will earn an Occupational Safety Certificate.
Note: Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain an Occupational Safety A.A.S. degree.
