The Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Special Education will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career working with children in the public school system (grades K-8). Students will participate in field experiences to gain practical experience in a K-8 school setting. The Elementary/Special Education degree is designed to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution in Elementary, Special Education or dual Elementary/Special Education licensure pathways.
Note: Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in all courses to obtain an Elementary/Special Education A.A. degree.
