Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, A.A.S.

This program is designed to prepare students for positions as maintenance mechanics, maintenance technicians, and operations technicians in a wide variety of industries including power generation, mining, natural gas, refinery, semiconductor, photochemical, food and beverage manufacturing, and pharmaceutical processes. Students will gain hands-on experience and training on the following equipment and systems: pump rebuilding, pump alignment, fabrication, hydraulics, vibration analysis, rigging, measurement tools, piping systems, lubrication, mechanical drives, and welding.

Note:  A student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher for courses to count towards a degree.

SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 0 - 3 Credits


General Education Requirements: 16 - 18 Credits

MATH-1170  was previously a 3-credit course. A student who previously completed the 3-credit MATH-1170 successfully has satisfied the MATH requirement.
