This program prepares students with skills required in the care of the sick and infirm under the supervision of an RN (Registered Nurse), LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), or other Health Professional in Nursing Homes, Home Care Agencies and Skilled Care Facilities. The course, classroom, college skills lab and clinical experience in local health care facilities meets the requirements to apply for the State Certification Examination upon completion in accordance with the Omnibus Reconciliation Act.
The course didactic/classroom = 45 hours;
Lab/clinical = 90 hours for a total of 135 hours.
Prerequisites: Placement into (RDNG-050P or RDNG-096P) and MATH-050P.
Semester Offered: All
Note: This program is not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.
