Occupational Safety Certiﬁcate

The completion of this certificate provides basic safety knowledge and prepares students to become competent safety professionals. This certificate can be completed online. After completion of the 32 credit hours, students may apply for the Certificate in Occupational Safety.

Note: Student must earn a grade of ‘C’ or higher in each course to earn the Occupational Safety Certificate.

SJC First Year Experience Requirement: 3 Credits

FYEX-1110 First-Year Seminar 3

Program Core Requirements: 32 Credits

BIOL-1110 and BIOL-2110 have English and reading level prerequisites. Students who do not have college level English credit will be placed in the appropriate prerequisite courses. In addition to the English and reading level prerequisites,CHEM-1120 has a math level prerequisite. Students who do not have college level math credit will be placed into the appropriate prerequisite course. CHEM-1215 has math and chemistry prerequisites.
