The Paramedic Associate of Science degree will provide students with principles, knowledge, and skills required to begin a career in the fields requiring paramedics. Students wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and pursue a degree in Paramedics are strongly encouraged to check with their advisor and coordinate their course work at San Juan College with the requirements of the transfer institution.
Entrance Requirements and Policies:
- Core classes must be taken in same configuration as A.A.S./Certificate.
- Students may need to consider taking additional classes appropriate to future academic pursuits and university transfer and program requirements.
- The admission process for the Paramedic Associate of Science is the same as that for the Paramedic Associate of Applied Science degree .
Notes:
- The student must complete each course in the curriculum with a ‘C’ or better to remain in and graduate from the program.
- Due to changes in accreditation and industry standards, any student who does not complete this paramedic program in its entirety within 24 months must repeat the entire program.

General Education Requirements: 27 Credits
Program Core Requirements: 47 Credits
TOTAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 74-77 Credits

Students accepted into this selective admission program must follow the required course sequence outlined below in order to remain in and complete the program. Students who for any reason are unable to follow this course sequence must contact an academic advisor.
