VETT-2233 Large Animal Clinical Assisting 2


Large Animal Clinical Assisting is designed to prepare the student for clinical care of large animals by building core competencies related to safe livestock handling, patient nursing care, preventative medicine, equine imaging, surgical nursing, and proper use of large animal instruments and equipment.  Through both course instruction and practical lab experiences, students will gain a foundational knowledge and technical abilities required for completion of required large animal and small ruminant clinical skills.

Prerequisites: Student must have completed Tier 3 courses, video portfolio courses, have a completed health risk form on file, and have an approved large animal clinical site and approved preceptor OR attend Fast Track Labs to complete clinical skills with the SJC Faculty.
