HITP-2320 Health IT and Emerging Technologies 3

This course explores how health information technologies and emerging digital tools are used to manage health information and support patient care. Students will examine electronic health records (EHRs), data exchange and interoperability, cybersecurity, and mobile health applications. The course also introduces technologies such as artificial intelligence and clinical decision support systems, with a focus on how these tools enhance documentation, communication, and healthcare operations.
Prerequisites: Admission into the Health Information Technology Program .
