HITP-2120 Health Data Mgmt, Analytics, and Quality 4


This course introduces students to health data management, data analytics, and quality improvement practices in healthcare. Students will apply foundational statistical concepts and tools to analyze healthcare datasets, interpret findings, and support data-driven decision-making. Topics include data collection, data validation, statistical analysis, data visualization, and performance measurement. The course also covers the use of quality indicators and performance data to support care improvement and compliance, with attention to the role of health information professionals in ensuring data accuracy.
Prerequisites: MATH-1130  or higher, Admission into the Health Information Technology Program
