SURG-2150 Surgical Technology Clinical I 4


This first-level clinical course provides students with the opportunity to apply surgical theory and foundational skills in a hands-on clinical environment. Under the guidance of a preceptor, students will learn essential tasks such as scrubbing in, assisting with the second and possibly first scrub roles, and contributing to the setup and teardown of surgical procedures. The course emphasizes practical exposure to various aspects of surgical operations, enabling students to build confidence and competence in supporting surgical teams while adhering to best practices in patient safety and aseptic technique.
