GEOL-2410L Mineralogy Lab 1

A laboratory-based introduction to mineral identification and classification. Students practice observing and recording physical and optical properties, applying crystallographic techniques, and using standard mineralogy tools to analyze hand samples and thin sections. Emphasis is placed on relating mineral properties and associations to rock-forming processes. Required Lab for GEOL-2410
