CIST-1115 Principles of Comp Sci Information Sys 3 This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts and terminology in the computing field, including computer history, algorithms, computer architecture, programming languages, applications, social issues, and ethics. It covers both computer science and computer information systems and aims to prepare students for further studies in these disciplines. Students should have prior knowledge of basic computer usage and software, such as MS Word, MS Excel, Power BI, and the Internet. Additionally, the course may cover topics such as problem-solving, computer organization, and information assurance. Prerequisites: C’ grade or better in HS Algebra.
